APPLICATION

The differential pressure (dP) sensor is designed to ensure consistent air pressure control in ventilation systems. It measures the pressure in the exhaust duct and adjusts the ventilation speed to maintain a steady pressure level.

This dP sensor is also crucial for regulating airflow. To measure airflow in both the exhaust and supply ducts of the Heat Recovery Unit (HRU), two differential pressure sensors are utilized. The VMD controller modulates the ventilation speed to maintain a steady flow through the ducts.

For more information on the flow control feature, please refer to our Application Note AN00108EN for the VMD02RPS66 or 78 - Flow Control.

The VAC-02GJ02 differential pressure sensor comes with a protective cap that shields it from dirt and damage while preventing incorrect cable connections. Please note that the sensor cable is not included with the VAC-02GJ02.

Typically, this dP sensor is used alongside Airios' VMD products, where it connects via the corresponding connector, enhancing the overall system’s performance and accuracy.
