The Cooperative Association Nova U.A. (excluded liability) is established. The association focuses on development and producing electronic controls for the HVAC market.

A small part of a building in Eindhoven is being rented. It has a total area of 40m2. All activities take place in one room.

In Aalst, two classrooms, one office space, a storage room and toilet group are being rented from a former school building. It has a total area of 178m2.
1993
There are 9 employees working for the company.

The Cooperative Association is converted to a BV and continues under a “new” name EnovaX. The name is created by combining EX with Nova.
30-12-1992
Nova is taken over by Van der Beyl Beheer B.V.
09-04-1994
The rented space in the former school building in Aalst is expanded to 326m2.
01-10-1996
ISO-9001 quality management system becomes successful certified.
23-12-1997
Enovax is taken over by Koninklijke Econosto N.V. Originally a technical consultancy firm.
1997
There are 12 employees active and the company continues to grow.
14-07-1998
Enovax moves to the Gabriel Metsulaan in Eindhoven and has 1050m2 space available.
01-01-2000
Enovax B.V. is taken over by Honeywell B.V. The company will continue under the name Honeywell Customized Comfort Products (HCCP). From then on, product development shifts to the residential market, mainly due to the circular thermostat (T87) and home ventilation controls.
2000
There are now 16 employees, 7 in production, 6 in development and 3 in management.

HCCP is sold to an existing Cara C'air/Honeywell Joint-Venture (50/50%)
Gerro van Rheenen becomes general manager.
2002
The Honeywell Round T87 is launched. The company's most famous product.
2004
The first ventilation products are being developed in collaboration with long-term customers.
2008
Honeywell/HCCP wins a VSK award for the new 'Remote Central Heating Appliance Management' system. At the heart of the system is a gateway that was developed by HCCP. Not a commercial success, but a progressive innovation.
2008
1 million rounds have now been sold. A huge success!
2010-2012
The switch to electronics for the ventilation market is initiated with the introduction of standard platforms for domestic ventilation, heat recovery, sensors and connectivity.
April 2012
Extra space is rented above the existing building on Gabriel Metsulaan.
2013
Development Teams + management layer. Due to the growth, mainly in the development department, the team is split into a software and hardware team. Team leaders and a quality manager are appointed.
November 2015
On the other side of the street, an extra space is rented where the software teams sit together. Meanwhile, there are 30 permanent employees.
2018
40 permanent employees with a turnover of 18 million Euro.
October 2018
The Homes division is spun off by Honeywell into an independent company called Resideo. The Honeywell shares in the company will also be transferred to Resideo.
April 2019
HCCP chooses to continue under the new name Airios.
July 2019
Airios moves to a new building at Peter Zuidlaan 10 in Veldhoven. It has 1800m2 of office with production and warehouse space at its disposal.
March 2021
Resideo & Airios decide to dissolve the Joint Venture. Cara C'air thus becomes the full owner of the company together with a new shareholder. A total of 50 employees work at Airios.
June 2024
A total of 80 employees are employed by Airios.
