App and cloud-based interfaces

More -and more precise- functionality requirements also bring more complexity in programming and in using indoor climate systems. At Airios we recognize the increasing need of our customers, end users and installation companies to simplify interaction with those systems, and it is our ambition to make systems as autonomous as possible.

App and cloud-based interfaces

Our app's user interface is everything that the user can see and interact with. Our reference app can easily be used to see CO2, RH and Temperature data.

Research

Research has shown that the trend of big data continues to rise, as well as the internet of things (I4.0). For the future of the HVAC market, it is of crucial importance to allow these trends to extend the digital competences of the systems provided by this market. Continuous innovation practices have also proven to be an accelerator for ecosystem efficiency and amelioration. Including Cloud computing in HVAC systems does not only follow up on research-based recommendations, it also allows for more – industry specific - research to be done by the company, based on data retrieved from the Cloud. Data analyses hereby open doors for internal research, focusing on HVAC system improvement.

Market opportunities

The HVAC market is increasingly exploring opportunities in developing Cloud-connected HVAC systems, in order to maximize the potential system output. The industry aims to have integrated Cloud solutions by 2025 and is already taking actions to realize this goal. Globally, Cloud2Cloud technology is also catching attention across multiple industries, including the HVAC industry. Marketwise, coupling HVAC systems to a Cloud may be the most efficient way to exploit and translate your system’s data into innovation attitudes. Apart from this, not transforming into a Cloud-approach may eliminate your competitive advantage in the market. Finally, end-users of (all) markets are more and more expecting to receive high-tech accessories for every technological purchase they have. This includes the possibility to store and oversee data, but also the availability of an application to use as a user interface.

Alignment with mission

Airios aims to build for comfort. The design, production, and development of our electronics are done with comfort in mind. This includes comfort for the end-users, but also our direct and indirect customers. We believe that offering added value for any stakeholder of the value chain will benefit the value chain (comfort) as a whole. Not only comfort, but also customer satisfaction is being focused on by the Cloud provision. In our opinion, we observe the Cloud as an accelerating factor to optimize and exploit the potential of our customers’ systems.  Additionally, we aim to provide our customers with state-of-the-art electronics, partly customized to our customers’ needs and expectations. The Cloud can extend this aim, by offering levels of customization to the application of the Cloud.

Current resources/technology

The Cloud solution extends the portfolio that we currently carry, mainly consisting of products. The technology does so by embedding all the offered electronics into one interconnected, overarching system. This allows for more controllability and traceability of the systems and the data retrieved from these systems. Besides this, the solution offers additional and innovative resources to the company, namely: newly gained data; information; knowledge; points of improvement; and insights into system functionalities based on data analyses.
